ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting not only gives me a sense of fulfillment, but it also enriches and completes my life. Subjects that show life and expression like people, flowers and landscapes are my focus. I have been painting landscapes on a regular basis as well as flowers from my gardens and creating interesting compositions from sections of flowers, focusing on vibrant colors. I usually begin by filling my canvas with a field of color and pushing the limits of realism. The places I visit and the things I see become vivid canvases of color attracting the viewers eye.
